The gold coin series "Native Birds" from Germany is the successor series of coins on the theme "German Forest".
The first motif of these gold coins in 2016 was a singing nightingale, designed by the artist Bodo Broschat from Berlin.
The new coin motif "Black Woodpecker" is by the artist Frantisek Chochola. It shows a black woodpecker standing sideways on a tree trunk.
